Summer Learning Journey: Week one, Day Five, Activity Two

1. Visit the Treaty House itself to see a replica of the original treaty. 

2. See one of the largest Maori war canoes in the country.

3. Watch a live kapa haka performance.

    Hi Greanne

    Going to Waitangi should be on you list of places to visit. It really is a beautiful part of New Zealand. I was lucky enough to be born in Northland and spent a lot of time in the Bay of Islands as a kid. It truly is amazing.
    Just going to the Treaty house is so special as you know that there is so much history connected with the place.
    And the war canoes that are also on the grounds are awesome, they are so big. You just don't realise how big they are and imagine them out at sea.
    This is also a very special place to watch a kapa haka group perform.

    Well done you have made some great choices.
